Dealing with the effects of alcohol and drug addiction can seem like an impossible and confusing endeavor. Oftentimes you may feel like you don’t know where to begin. As your therapist, I offer a tailored, evidence-based approach to identify the root causes and develop coping skills. I provide family therapy to rebuild relationships and improve communication. Whether you're spiritual or not, mindfulness involves being present without judgment. As your therapist, I can help you develop and grow your own mindfulness practice that aligns with your unique needs and goals, and has a profound impact on your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being

Co-Occurring Disorders

Many of us face multiple challenges at once. You may have underlying anxiety or depression and have turned to substances to cope and find relief. Treating co-occurring disorders can involve addressing symptoms at the same time or prioritizing them based on urgency. As your therapist, we can work together to determine the most effective approach for you. By exploring the root causes of your challenges and developing strategies to manage them, we can improve your overall well-being and support you on the path to healing

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Life can be overwhelming, and it's not always easy to manage difficult emotions, self-harm behaviors, or a history of suicide attempts. With my expertise in DBT, we can work on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment to help you explore and understand your emotions. We will focus on developing mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills to help you manage your emotions in a healthy way. Through therapeutic mindfulness, we will work on cultivating awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and sensations, so you can observe them without judgment or reaction. With improved emotional regulation, you will develop the ability to regulate your emotions and prevent them from taking over. With interpersonal effectiveness training, you will learn to communicate effectively and build healthy relationships with those around you. Together, we can create a customized DBT treatment plan that fits your specific needs and goals.
